‘my never ending story…’- work in progress

The series I’m working on at the moment is about mapping the journey of this particular person.  The sequenced images are a constructive narrative based on Baktash’s life story.  He left his homeland Afghanistan to seek civil peace, a concept almost foreign to him.  He tells his story to the audience as he attempts to live and prosper as a Torontonian.

Inspired by Jim Goldberg, I will be using Baktash’s hand writing in Perso-Arabic text  where he will be writing a brief recollection from his own memory on the images.

The intention of this mapping series is to put forth an in-depth view of new immigrants in Toronto.
However, the text and the rest of the images are still in progress :)
